Salford City Council visited Moya Cole Hospice as part of their ‘Ward Walk’ around Little Hulton.
The visit consisted of Stephen Young, Chief Executive of Salford City Council; Jen Green, Deputy Chief Executive, Salford City Council; Councillors Tony Davis and Rob Sharpe; Vincent Nash, Neighbourhood Manager for Little Hulton and Walkden, Salford City Council; and members of the police.
Those in attendance were hosted by Rachel McMillan, Chief Executive at Moya Cole Hospice. Rachel spoke about the importance of the hospice, its history and gave a tour of the facility.
Moya Cole Hospice has been embedded in the fabric of Little Hulton and the wider area since we opened here in 1979. It was wonderful to have a visit from Salford City Council to reiterate the importance of that relationship and to inform and update them on the incredible care we are known for here at the hospice. I very much look forward to continuing our working relationship long into the future Rachel McMillan`, Chief Executive, Moya Cole Hospice
Stephen Young, Chief Executive of Salford City Council, said: “It was fantastic to visit the Moya Cole Hospice in Little Hulton as part of one of our regular ward visits with our councillors, council officers and police.
It was inspiring to see first-hand the care, compassion and support provided to local people and their families at some of the most difficult times in their lives. The dedication of the staff and volunteers is truly remarkable. The hospice plays a vital role in supporting communities across Salford and we are incredibly proud to have them based in this great city Stephen Young, Chief Executive, Salford City Council
Councillors Rob Sharpe and Tony Davis previously visited Moya Cole Hospice earlier this year; you can read about it here.
