Light up a Life
Dedicate a light to someone you love this winter through our Light up a Life appeal.
Our Light up a Life appeal is a way for us to remember our loved ones at this special time of year.
You’re invited to join one of our Light up a Life services and dedicate a light to remember your loved one.
Make a dedication online by adding a light to our Winter Forest, along with a photo, message or memory, and you’ll be able to share your dedication with friends and family online. You can also dedicate a light anonymously if you wish.
All dedications received by Friday 20th November will be recorded in the 2026 Book of Honour, which will be on display at all the services and at both of our hospices next year.
Every donation made with a dedication means that we can continue to provide the very best care to our patients and their families.
Winter Forest
Dedicate a light by clicking on the Winter Forest below. You can add a photo, message or memory, and you’ll be able to share your dedication with friends and family online. You can dedicate a light anonymously if you wish.
Light up a Life services
We’re holding five special services of remembrance once again this year. The services offer a precious moment of quiet reflection and a chance to come together in remembrance and celebration of the lives of our loved ones. We would be delighted if you could join us.
When you dedicate a light online, you will be able to choose which service you would like to attend and how many places you would like.

Monday 7th December, Little Hulton – 7pm

Wednesday 9th December, St Peter’s Church, Hale – 7pm

Thursday 10th December, Heald Green, 7pm

Sunday 13th December, Manchester Cathedral, 1:30pm and 3:30pm
The services will include songs from the choir, words from those in the hospice community, carols, a poem and the lighting of the tree. There will also be a moment of reflection where you can place a decoration on the tree in memory of your loved one.
