Hospice Band 3, £25,760 – £27,476 pro rata (Competency Based Framework)

Hours

28 hours over four days- Monday to Friday (non-working day to be mid-week)

Job Summary

We’re looking for an organised and professional Inpatient Clinical Administrator to join our Clinical Services Administration Team, providing administrative support to the hospice inpatient services across our Heald Green and Little Hulton sites.

The Role

You will provide a comprehensive clinical administrative service to support inpatient clinical services, working closely with clinical and medical colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting admissions, discharges and patient flow using the electronic patient record
  • Acting as a point of contact for patients, carers and external agencies
  • Providing administrative support relating to inpatient care, including documentation and correspondence
  • Working collaboratively with the ward clerk and wider inpatient admin team
  • Maintaining confidentiality and data protection at all times

Requirements

You will be highly organised, able to manage competing tasks effectively, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.

The Inpatient Clinical Administrator will have: 

  • NVQ Level 3 in administration (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar role in a health or social care setting
  • Strong IT, communication and organisational skills
  • Experience of electronic patient records and clinical administration
