Hospice Band 3, £24,793 – £26,444 per annum. Competency Based Framework
Hours
37.5 hours per week. Weekend work required. The service currently operates seven days per week, between 8am and 8pm.

Introduction
We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice @ Home Team to assist with the delivery of holistic care to patients, family/carers with life limiting illness, within their own living environment.
The Role
You will work as part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team, working in partnership with the patient, family & carers.
You will:
- Assess, plan and deliver holistic, person-centred care.
- Support patients and carers physically, emotionally and spiritually.
- Keep accurate records and communicate clearly with the wider care team.
- Use your knowledge of local services to ensure the best support for every family.
- Occasionally provide cross-site cover when needed.
The Person
You will be a caring, proactive and a true team player with a person-centred approach.
You will have:
- NVQ Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- A full driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle.
- Experience in hospital or community care settings.
- Good communication skills and confidentiality awareness.
- An interest in specialist palliative care and commitment to compassionate practice.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which is covered by the hospice.
