At Moya Cole Hospice, we do everything we can to make Christmas special for our patients and their loved ones – filled with love, comfort, and moments to cherish.

But it’s only thanks to kind supporters like you that we can be there when people need us most.

Your donation to our Christmas appeal will help ensure that every patient at Moya Cole Hospice receives the same warmth, dignity, and compassion you would wish for your own loved ones, on what may be their final Christmas together.

Your generosity will help fund vital services, from compassionate end-of-life care to ongoing bereavement counselling.

  • £25 could stock our drinks trolley so patients and their families can enjoy a hot drink or festive tipple together on Christmas Day
  • £50 could pay for a traditional Christmas dinner for five of our patients spending Christmas on the ward this year
  • £60 could pay for two bereavement sessions for someone struggling with their first Christmas without their loved one
  • £75 could buy new toys for our toy box and improve our family area, giving families a comfortable space to enjoy Christmas together
  • £100 could provide a two-hour rehabilitation session to help a patient with mobility, so they can open presents with family

Working on Christmas Day is always a privilege. So, this year I’ll be here at the hospice, caring for patients and their loved ones during what can be an incredibly emotional and difficult time. We start the day early, helping patients to get ready so they can spend precious time with their loved ones. I never mind missing Christmas at home – as being on the wards is always an honour.
