Tom Morrison MP visits new Moya Cole Hospice
The Liberal Democrat MP for Cheadle visited the new site on Friday
Liberal Democrat MP for Cheadle, Tom Morrison visited the new Moya Cole Hospice building in Heald Green for the first time on Friday.
Tom has been a supporter of the new build project since the beginning and said he was “blown away” by the facility.
He was given a tour of both the Inpatient Unit and the Being You Centre buildings that make up the new build. It was led by Chief Executive of Moya Cole Hospice, Rachel McMillan.
Rachel was joined on the tour by Chair of the Board of Trustees at Moya Cole Hospice, Anita Rolfe, Director of Clinical Services, Emma Dixon, and Director of Finance and Business Development, Claire Murphy.
In the last building, I said to the team here that it was the staff that made it. The staff are fantastic. But here, we’ve got incredible staff and we’ve got an incredible building. I’m just so pleased to see this new building up and running Tom Morrison , Liberal Democrats MP for Cheadle
During the tour, Tom spoke with clinical staff, including Charge Nurse James Humphries who explained the huge difference the building was already making in its first week.
Tom has been a wonderful supporter of the new hospice project and has previously seen our former site and knows what a huge difference this building will make to our patients, their families, our staff, and volunteers long into the future Rachel McMillan, Chief Executive, Moya Cole Hospice
