Our new hospice

In Spring 2026, our new hospice in Heald Green will open its doors to patients and their loved ones.

We are so excited to be making the final preparations to move our current Heald Green hospice into our new purpose-built building.

Moya Cole Hospice has provided care and support for our community in our current hospice for 54 years. The building has served us well, but it is no longer fit for purpose to deliver modern day specialist care. With the help of our donors, supporters and our community, we are delighted to have built our new purpose-built hospice on land next door.

This incredible new hospice will transform the experience for our patients and those close to them. It includes a bright, modern, spacious inpatient unit with 21 individual en-suite bedrooms and two three-bed bays, all featuring homely furnishings and access to private outdoor terraces. Our Being You Centre will also be greatly improved with more space for counselling, patient and family support, and complementary therapies – as well as dedicated space for palliative rehabilitation.

The new hospice also give us space to expand our work, becoming a centre of training excellence and a hub of innovation working with partners in palliative and end of life care across Greater Manchester.
