Thank you St Ann’s Hospice Heald Green

On Saturday 13th September we will be hosting a celebratory event to say thank you to our current hospice site in Heald Green. It has been home to our organisation for the last 54 years and before we move to our new building we want to say a proper thank you and goodbye.

Date: Saturday 13th September

Venue: St Ann’s Hospice, St Ann’s Road North, Heald Green, Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 3SZ

Time: 11am-12.30pm or 1.30pm-3pm (These are repeated sessions)

 

Numbers for the event are limited, so please RSVP using the link below to confirm your free place.

Our Chair  Jackie Oldham and Chief Executive Rachel McMillan will be speaking at the event as well as the following:

  • Memories from St Ann’s Hospice, Heald Green film
  • Exhibition of photographs and memories from St Ann’s
  • Musical performance from the Rock Choir Greater Manchester
  • Plant Sale of plants from our gardens
  • Tea and cakes
  • Fundraising stalls

There will also be an opportunity to tour the current hospice* and see the progress of the new hospice construction.

*The hospice is open to patients and their loved ones which will dictate which rooms we are able to show you on the day.

Summer Fair – Heald Green

Winter Fair

Join us on Saturday 25th November 2023 for our Winter Fair at our Little Hulton hospice (Meadowsweet Lane, Little Hulton, Worsley, Manchester M28 0FE)

For the first time our Winter Fair has been kindly organised by our volunteer committee on behalf of St Ann’s, to help raise vital funds for the hospice.

There will be fun for all the family, including:

The Big St Ann’s Flower Sale

Join us at Manchester Central Convention Complex on Sunday 10th September for a huge discount flower sale to raise money for our Build It Together new hospice appeal.

The sale will feature a variety of blooms from all around the globe, following their use in competitors’ elaborate entries in the Interflora World Cup, which takes place in the UK for the first time 7th-9th September at Manchester Central.

Thousands of stems and bouquets will be available, including roses, peonies and hydrangeas, all at bargain prices.

Now’s your chance to take home a piece of World Cup history, and support our appeal for a much-needed new hospice.

Autumn Fair

Join us on Saturday 30th September 2023 for a new Autumn Fair at our Heald Green hospice.

The following businesses based on Cheadle Royal Business Park have kindly offered use of their car parks to attend our Autumn Fair. You can park at any of these for free on Saturday 30th September for the event:

The business park is a short walk away from the hospice via a footpath through the green space on the West side of the business park.

Salford Red Devils Takeover Day

We will be holding the Salford Red Devils takeover day on Sunday 16th July (Salford City Stadium
1 Stadium Way, Eccles, Salford, M30 7EY)

The takeover event will take place from 12:30pm and the match against Leigh Leopards with kick off at 3pm with a special match ball presentation with the game finishing at approx. 4:45.

There will be lots of activities going on ahead of the game including:

  • Fun Fair
  • Entertainment on stage
  • Face Painting
  • Ice cream vans
  • Raffles – including a match shirt signed by the players
  • Soak a player with a sponge
  • Meet Stann and Diablo (mascots)

Salford Red Devils and their merchandise supplier have between them designed a special shirt especially for St Ann’s Hospice and the takeover day. The shirts will be available for general sale (price TBC) and £5 from each shirt sale will be donated to St Ann’s.  The players will also wear them to warm up in pre-match.
