ASICS Manchester Half - Moya Cole Hospice

Moya Cole Hospice is delighted to announce that over £90,000 has been raised by our runners who took part in the ASICS Manchester Half Marathon.

The Moya Cole Hospice team were out in force to cheer on our runners as they took part in the event on Sunday, October 4th.

Laura Hindley, Events Lead at Moya Cole Hospice, said, “We are thrilled with our phenomenal runners at this year’s ASICS Manchester Half. They are responsible for our astonishing £90,000 raised making this year our most successful ASICS Manchester Half to date.”

The funds raised at the ASICS Manchester Half will help provide care to those with life-limiting illnesses across Greater Manchester.

Head of Clinical Services at Moya Cole Hospice, Emma Barclay ran the ASICS Manchester Half.

I ran the [half marathon] because I see the difference every day that we make to patients and those close to them. If I can keep running and raise a few more pennies and just keep making that difference then I'll keep going for as long as I can Emma Barclay, Head of Clinical Services, Moya Cole Hospice

Aisha who is assistant psychologist in the NHS also ran and raised funds in aid of Moya Cole Hospice.

“I have worked closely with Moya Cole Hospice because we have been able to assign some of our clients to their services and I believe Moya Cole takes care of not just the person but the whole family. It cares about dignity, compassion, and kindness. You can see how hard Moya Cole is working because the NHS only funds a third of it and the rest is from people like us,” Aisha said.
