Cheque out Belinda’s fundraising success
Belinda Neild has raised £55,000 for Moya Cole Hospice since she began fundraising
Longtime Moya Cole Hospice supporter, Belinda Neild and her family have raised a cumulative total of £55,000 for the Manchester charity.
A cheque presentation ceremony was held for Belinda at Moya Cole Hospice to mark the occasion. Belinda was joined by friends and family as the hospice celebrated her and her husband, Stephen’s achievements.
Stephen also took part in the 100-mile Ultramarathon.
Belinda has been a supporter of Moya Cole Hospice since her mum accessed outpatient services in Little Hulton in 2011.

Over the years Belinda has taken on half-marathons to marathons, setting the Guinness World Record for the fastest woman to finish the London Marathon dressed as a stationary item. She has also run the 70-mile length of Hadrian’s Wall, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
This year brought her toughest challenge yet; she decided to take part in a 100-mile Ultramarathon from Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland to Edinburgh Castle.
It was Belinda’s intention to run the Ultramarathon, but she suffered a torn miniscus and fracture in the first 100 meters and had to power walk the rest of the journey supported by walking poles. It took her 30 hours with a quick 20-minute nap along the way.
She raised over £14,000 following her 100-mile Ultramarathon.
It was Belinda’s goal to reach £50,000 raised for the hospice by her 50th birthday, a goal she easily reached.

Lucy Green, fundraising manager at Moya Cole Hospice said, “Belinda is an incredible supporter of Moya Cole Hospice. It has been wonderful getting to know her over the years and cheering her on during her challenges. I don’t know how she keeps going from challenge to challenge, but we are eternally grateful that she does. Special thanks to Stephen and her wider family for being such a huge support too.”
Belinda is still recovering from her Ultramarathon injury but is already looking ahead to her next challenge for the hospice.
