Mike Dunn Memorial 10k Running Event!

Wythenshawe Community Run is delighted to host its third annual Multi‑Terrain 10K on Sunday 3 May 2026, set within the stunning grounds of Wythenshawe Park.

The race starts and finishes on the Wythenshawe Park Athletics Track and consists of two laps around the park’s flat, multi‑terrain paths and tracks. The course is completely traffic‑free, professionally chip‑timed, and every finisher will receive a bespoke commemorative medal.

This event is held in loving memory of our much‑loved friend Mike Dunne. Mike was diagnosed with mesothelioma in late 2022 and sadly passed away in May 2023. In his honour, we now host this annual 10K to celebrate his life and to raise vital funds for two incredible charities that supported Mike and his family throughout his illness.

All proceeds from the event will be shared between:

• Moya Cole Hospice
• Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group

Last year we raised £1,500 for each charity, and with your support, we hope to raise even more in 2026.

The run starts at Wythenshawe Park Athletic Track, which offers:

• On‑site toilets and changing rooms
• Ample free parking
• Excellent public transport links, with nearby bus and tram routes

Come along and enjoy a fantastic early‑summer 10K in a beautiful setting, while supporting two amazing local charities. Runners of all abilities are welcome, and spectators are encouraged to come along and cheer.
