Rekha Senapati had been a volunteer at Moya Cole Hospice for approximately 15 years when she was approached to see if she would like to contribute further, thus joining the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee.

“Being a part of the committee has allowed me to learn more about new ideas, views, and thoughts which I have found very interesting,” Rekha said.

Rekha has said that she has learnt and developed new skills through working with the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee.

“Through networking, I’ve been able to meet with new people and get them involved in our fundraising events,” she said.

“I’m also really proud to be able to bring some of my Indian heritage to the hospice,” Rekha added. Rekha has in the last year organised Indian street food at the hospice and a Bollywood dance group.

Some events organised by the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee include the Festive Afternoon Tea and the Little Hulton Summer Fair, both held on the hospice grounds.

My proudest moment is that I am working for Moya Cole Hospice Rekha Senapati, Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee Member
