Light up a Life appeal 2026 is launched

My name is Emma Barclay, and I am the Head of Clinical Services at Moya Cole Hospice.
Today, I am inviting you to take part in our Light up a Life appeal by making a donation and a dedication in memory of your loved one, so that we can continue to provide expert care and support to those who need us most.
Light up a Life brings our community together to remember and celebrate loved ones who are no longer with us. As you honour their memory, we ask you to support Moya Cole Hospice so that we can continue to be there for people who rely on our care, compassion and support every day.
Like many people taking part in Light up a Life, Jasmine Ryan holds precious memories of someone she loves and misses – her mum, Karen.
Jasmine remembers being able to move her mum’s bed out into the sun in the hospice gardens. She remembers the dignity her mum was given at the end of her life and how the team went above and beyond for her.

Your generosity will allow the team at Moya Cole Hospice to be there for many more people in your community. To focus on what matters most to them and bring them comfort, reassurance, and a smile during the most difficult times, so that the memories that remain are special and cherished.
Our Light up a Life services are a wonderful way to honour and remember loved ones, to remember all the little moments and memories that were shared. It is always a huge privilege for the team at the hospice and me to be part of them. We are always so touched to read all the dedications made in our Book of Honour and online Winter Forest.
