Jasmine Ryan ran the Great Manchester Run as Moya Cole Hospice cared for her mum during the last few weeks of her life.

Jasmine was one of over 120 participants to run on behalf of Moya Cole Hospice on Sunday.

“Moya Cole really went above and beyond for me and my family, especially my mum,” Jasmine said. “They gave her a lot of dignity. We were able to put her out in the sun in a bed when she wasn’t able to open her eyes.

“It’s all just little things. I could have run for any charity, but I chose Moya Cole because I felt that they were there at a really dark time in my life, and it’s still hard, I’m still grieving, it’s only been 11 weeks since she died.

I’ve become a fundraiser for Moya Cole as well. I’m really passionate about doing anything for Moya Cole and making sure that other families get what I was given, what Mum got given. Any money that we can raise for Moya Cole is amazing Jasmine Ryan, Moya Cole Hospice Supporter

Jasmine ran the half marathon event for the hospice and says it was “hard”.

“The first 12k absolutely fine; I really had to delve deep at 16k. I’ve had two major knee surgeries, so trying to run has been difficult,” she said.
