Belinda Neild hosted a 10-mile charity walk in aid of Moya Cole Hospice at the weekend.

Belinda is a longtime supporter of the hospice and has raised £41,000 since she began fundraising. She aims to raise an accumulative total of £50,000 by her 50th birthday next year.

“I’ve called the walk ‘10-mile, £10, big impact. It was a local walk around Monton and Worsley to encourage people to get active and socialise,” Belinda said.

“There was a great crowd at the walk, it was such a fantastic event and it was all for a great cause,” she added.

Approximately 150 people attended the 10-mile walk on Sunday raising over £1,700 for the hospice bringing her total to nearly £43,000.

We placed three stops along the way at three different pubs so we could all have a break, grab a drink and then move on to the next point Belinda Neild, Moya Cole Hospice Supporter

Belinda is no stranger to a challenge, having ran the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall (70-miles) in 14 hours and she is the Guinness World Record holder for the fastest woman to run a marathon dressed as a stationary item, which she achieved at the London Marathon in 2022 with a time of 3:38:22.

As she aims to reach £50,000 for her 50th birthday, Belinda is gearing up for her next challenge where she will be running a mammoth total of 100 miles in a single day.

She will be running from Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland along the Scottish coast and finishing at Edinburgh Castle, and she wants to complete the challenge in under 24 hours.

Belinda’s husband Stephen will also be supporting her on the challenge.
