A coffee morning was held in Worsley Village Library last week, raising over £300 for Moya Cole Hospice.

The Worsley Village Community Association (VCA) offered tea/coffee and a cake for £3 or a donation of the buyer’s choosing.

Fundraising and ambassador volunteer at the hospice, Rekha Senapati, said it was wonderful seeing everyone who turned up to the event.

“The Worsley Village Community Association came to me this year and told me they wanted to raise money for the hospice,” Rekha said.

It was a wonderful event, they had lots of different cakes and sweet treats to choose from and they ended up raising £313 for the hospice Rekha Senapati, Fundraising and Ambassador Volunteer

“They also held a raffle, and overall the event went very well,” she added.

Community Fundraiser for Moya Cole Hospice, George Bartram said events such as the Worsley VCA coffee morning are the beating heart of fundraising for the hospice.

Moya Cole Hospice would not be able to provide care to those with life-limiting illnesses without communities coming together to deliver events such as this coffee morning. We at Moya Cole Hospice are so thankful for their generosity George Bartram, Community Fundraiser for Moya Cole Hospice
